Harry LaCoste INSIGHTS Puppeteer

Biography

Harry LaCoste is a puppeteer, ukulele player, and teaching artist.  As a theatre graduate of the University of Massachusets-Amherst, Harry started his puppetry career as a character named Carl for the college’s Educational Television studio in a series called Try This at Home.  After college, Harry moved to New York City after being recruited as a kid wrangler on the set of Sesame Street.  There, he honed his own puppetry skills and used them as an enrichment teacher along with his love of music and storytelling.  As a performer, Harry traveled the globe with various theatre companies ranging from educational theatre programming about bullying and dating violence to juggling food props to talk about healthy habits.  Additionally, Harry has performed at venues across the country from a Jugglini Brother at Utah Shakespeare Festival, to the Jester at Medieval Manor, to his own devised works at Puppet Showplace in Brookline, MA.  Now, Harry is in the process of creating a new work combining all of his loves, including his family, and his favorite monster, Good New Gus.  www.goodnewsgus.com Harry plays the roles of Gregory the Grumpy and Fredrico the Friendly in our recent videos.
